There is no formal arrangement for consultation by members of public in relation to policy formulation or implementation thereof. As a business organization working on commercial lines, SRU is neither expected nor required to consult the members of the public in this regard.However, all its policies are formulated in compliance with provisions of applicable statutes, regulations, guidelines, etc.
The organization also takes note of the public view as reflected in the local media and assessed through informal interactions of the management collective with cross-sections of the residents of its townships and takes effective steps to ensure that these are given due cognizance while formulating and implementing schemes/ programmes that affect the common populace.
